International conference: ”Freedom from Religion: International, Constitutional and Theoretical Perspective”
On December 11th – 13th 2011, the “Concord Research Center for Integration of International Law in Israel”, in cooperation with the Jerusalem office of the Friedrich Naumann Stiftung for Liberty, conducted the annual international conference on the topic:
“Freedom from Religion: International, Constitutional and Theoretical Perspective”
The conference took place between December 11th -13th 2011, in The College of Management Campus Rishon Lezion, and was being held in English.

12th Session of the Palestinian – Israeli Young Business Leaders Forum
The 12th session of the Forum took place on Thursday, November 24th, 2011 as a site visit to the newly Palestinian planned city called “RAWABI” near Ramallah, followed by a discussion meeting with two Palestinian businessmen Mr. Bashar Masri, Chairman of Massar International and Mr. Talal Nassereddin, CEO of Birzeit Pharmaceutical Company.
Weekend Seminar on “The Influence of the Establishment of a Palestinian State on Israeli Arabs”, November 25-26, 2011, Notre Dame, Jerusalem
The seminar was conducted by ‘The Forum for Liberal Thinking’ in cooperation with the Jerusalem office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Liberty.
The weekend seminar and the lectures of Prof. Aziz Haidar and Dr. Ephraim Lavie were based on the reaserch which has been conducted by the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Strategic Dialogue at Netanya Academic College in cooperation with the Jerusalem office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Liberty.

Kick off with new members of the enlarged Palestinian – Israeli Young Business Leaders Forum
The 11th session of the Forum took place in Jerusalem on Thursday, October 27th 2011 and was devoted to the welcoming of the new participants of the enlarged forum and the encounter between the newcomers and veteran participants. Besides an introduction about the main idea and previous activities of the forum and a small presentation about the work of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Liberty, the organizers of the sessions, the participants were asked to work in small working groups on different topics.
11th Session : Palestinian – Israeli Young Business Leaders Forum

The 11th session of the Forum took place in Jerusalem on Thursday October 27th 2011. This session was a “kick-off” event of the new enlarged Forum, in which the Palestinian and Israeli newcomers met and joined our veteran members. The forum seeks to give future Palestinian and Israeli leaders an opportunity to meet each other, network, exchange thoughts and converse with key actors of the Palestinian, Israeli and international business community and political arena.

This yearly conference took place this year in Beirut, Lebanonon 20 & 21 October 2011. The title of conference was “The Economic Implications of the Arab Spring, Opportunities and Challenges for Free Market Policies”. One Palestinian participant took part in this conference who was Dr. Hisham Awartani, Director of Palestine Governance Institute (PGI)

Network of Arab Liberals (NAL) workshop “A New Era in the Arab World. The Role of Liberal Youth in Building a Democratic Future”, Tunis, 16-18 September, 2011
The workshop conducted by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Libertyin cooperation the Network of Arab Liberals (NAL) . Participants in this workshop were members of NAL member parties and organizations plus observers from the Arab World. From Palestine, there were three participants who are members in the Freedom Forum Palestine (FFP). They were Mr. Ashraf Okkeh, Ms. Watan Sabbah and Ms. Hanadi Zughayyar.
10th session of the Palestinian – Israeli Young Business Leaders Forum
The 10th session of this Forum took place on Saturday October 1st, 2011 as a field trip to the Palestinian village of Taybeh, near Ramallah. Both Palestinian and Israeli participants toured the village and attended the festival known as “Oktoberfest”.
