International conference:”Freedom from Religion: International, Constitutional and Theoretical Perspective”

On December 11th – 13th 2011, the “Concord Research Center for Integration of International Law in Israel”, in cooperation with the Jerusalem office of the Friedrich Naumann Stiftung for Liberty, will conduct the annual international conference on the topic:

“Freedom from Religion: International, Constitutional and Theoretical Perspective”

The conference will take place between December 11th -13th 2011, in The College of Management Campus, Room 362, Building D, 3rd Floor. 7 Yitzhak Rabim Blvd. Rishon Lezion.

The conference will be held in English.

Weekend Seminar on “The Influence of the Establishment of a Palestinian State on Israeli Arabs”, November 25-26, 2011, Notre Dame, Jerusalem

The seminar is being conducted by ‘The Forum for Liberal Thinking’ in cooperation with the Jerusalem office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Liberty.

The seminar will be held in Hebrew.

The weekend seminar and the lectures of Prof. Aziz Haidar and Dr. Ephraim Lavie are based on the reaserch which has been conducted by the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Strategic Dialogue at Netanya Academic College in cooperation with the Jerusalem office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Liberty.

12th Session : Palestinian – Israeli Young Business Leaders Forum

The 12th session of the forum will be a field trip to the new city of Rawabi currently being constructed near Ramallah on Thursday November 24th 2011.  The Members will visit the construction site and afterwards they will have a discussion round with the Palestinian entrepreneur Mr. Bashar Masri in Ramallah.

This was the topic of the 9th session of the M.E 2.0 Palestinian-Israeli Young Business Leaders Forum, which took place in Jerusalem on Thursday September 15th 2011. In this session, our visiting speakers Dr. Gershon Baskin and Mr. Walid Salem spoke about this topic and discussed and tackled fears, hopes and implications of a Palestinian statehood.

Network of Arab Liberals (NAL) workshop “Arab Unity & the Will of the People: Historic Challenges & Liberal Perspectives” in Cairo from 1-4 November, 2011

The workshop will be conducted by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Liberty in cooperation the Network of Arab Liberals (NAL) . Participants in this workshop are members of NAL member parties and organizations plus observers from the Arab World. From Palestine, there will be two senior participants who are members in the Freedom Forum Palestine (FFP). They are Mr. Nidal Foqaha, Executive Director of Palestine Peace coalition (PCC) and Ms. Ghada Eliyan, Womens’ Affairs Ministry.

Conference: 6th Economic Freedom of the Arab World

This yearly conference is taking place this year in Beirut, Lebanonon 20 & 21 October 2011. The title of conference is “The Economic Implications of the Arab Spring, Opportunities and Challenges for Free Market Policies”. Two Palestinian participants will take part in this conference. They are Dr. Hisham Awartani, Director of Palestine Governance Institute (PGI) , and Dr. Faisal Awartani, CEO of Alpha International .

11th Session : Palestinian – Israeli Young Business Leaders Forum

The 11th session of the Forum will take place in Jerusalem on Thursday October 27th 2011. This session is a “kick-off” event of the new enlarged Forum, in which the Palestinian and Israeli newcomers will meet and join our veteran members. The forum seeks to give future Palestinian and Israeli leaders an opportunity to meet each other, network, exchange thoughts and converse with key actors of the Palestinian, Israeli and international business community and political arena.

The Friedrich Naumann Foundation or Liberty and its partner Be Free kindly invite you for a public conference on the topic: “The Separation of State and Religion”. The conference will be held in Hebrew und will take place on October, 10th, in Haifa.
